Landsman Statement on Cincinnati FBI Headquarters Attack

CINCINNATI — Greg Landsman, Cincinnati City Councilman and the Democratic nominee in OH-01, released the following statement in response to the attack on the Cincinnati FBI headquarters:

“I am thankful to our local, state, and federal law enforcement officers who kept us all safe yet again. While we await more information, we do know that this attack came on the heels of a coordinated effort to discredit the FBI by Trump and his supporters, including Chabot. In fact, just last night, Chabot sent a fundraising email attacking the FBI.

“This election has never been about partisan politics. It’s about Republicans, Democrats, and Independents coming together to end the extremism and dangerous rhetoric that Trump and his allies like Rep. Chabot are peddling.

“Trump and Chabot continue to incite chaos and violence against our country for political gain. We saw it on January 6th, when Chabot voted against certifying an election hours after insurrectionists violently attacked the Capitol.

“The attack on our FBI headquarters is a reminder of their continued chaos and why this election is so important.”
