Chabot Votes Against Lowering Costs – Again

CINCINNATI — Greg Landsman, Democratic nominee in OH-01, released the following statement in response to Rep. Chabot’s vote against Inflation Reduction:

“Today, Congressman Chabot voted against bringing down costs for families here at home yet again. Here is what the Inflation Reduction Act does: brings down the cost of healthcare and prescription drugs and reduces the deficit by requiring that large corporations pay their fair share and going after tax cheats. 

“His priorities are clear. Chabot is fighting to keep his uber-wealthy donors from paying their fair share in taxes. He is yet again siding with the uber-wealthy tax-skirting corporations and price-gouging drug companies who pay his campaign bills over our families.  

“At least he is consistent. He has also voted against capping the cost of insulin and stopping price gouging at the gas pump to bring down costs. While our families suffering from out-of-control inflation, Chabot is in DC siding with his donors instead of helping us.

“When I am in Congress, I will fight to bring costs down and wages up. I will always put the children and families here at home first.”
